Hi, my name is Tony and I’m a Visual Storyteller based out of South Jersey. Ever since I could first remember I have always been drawn to the arts; from music, to painting, as well as writing. While I may have had a passion for it I never had the slightest inclination of what direction I wanted to go in, I never took it as a viable option so I didn’t. I would slowly fall into obscurity wasting what little bit of talent I may have had.
Fast forward summer 2020, the whole world's gone to hell. Social tensions are at an all time high, the economy is at a complete stand still, Trump's in office, cops are killing civilians, and Black Lives Matter are rioting in the streets all while I lie in bed completely bored out of my mind. Needing a sense of purpose I decided to pick up my first camera and the rest was history. I was completely obsessed indulging in anything and everything having to do with the world of photography, learning my equipment better than the back of my hand while trying to find a style to call my own.
Inevitably, trying to stay true to oneself and one's love of historic documentaries I gravitated towards street photography. With my powerful sense of observation paired with patience and practice I was amazed at what I was able to come away with. Knowing it was only a matter of time before the comedy club would reopen and I could try applying the skills I've learned on the streets during live events. It’s safe to say they go together like bread & butter.
So for me, it’s all about the moments which pass us by, that we miss, that go unseen… They’re the ones I try to find.
